How many moments and great things happening in our lives are lost in the thousands of photos we have on our phones and then are forced to dump into cyber space very now and again when we get the dreaded, “Cannot Take Photo,” memo on our screens?!
Too many to count, that’s how many!
I have been wanting and meaning to do a sort of “life lately” style post for some time, but finally getting around to it now, probably has something to do with the fact that I had a message just like that one above and after deleting all the fuzzy ones and all the screenshots and deleting the deleted, and finally making space on the computer to dump the i-phone pics, I decided it was time to share some of these phone gems with you, or save for myself at the least to hopefully view somewhere in Cyberland later.
Remy caught in the act of being such a great big sister and helper to Arlo at the playground, but then she went on to ask me to take more photos and totally held Arlo’s waist for a solid show.
More big sister greatness going on here on a trip to DeKovend Park (a fave). Remy always goes to grab Arlo’s hand whenever we are walking somewhere. Arlo can be super crabby sometimes and in the whole, i-am-two-years-old-and-i-wanna-do-EVERYTHING-by-myself stage and this is frustrating to both Remy and myself.
Super into trying momma’s shoes on lately. Hey, glad someone is making use of the heels! And HOW does she look 16 here?!
And Arlo loves to also layer on momma’s panties like a tutu.
Smoothie stop after the play area at Cherry Creek mall. Also, Dear Cherry Creek Mall, why in the HECK are you charging for parking next year?! We may be seeing less of you…
Remy had her first haircut!!! Literally. Her FIRST! I know, I’m terrible! She was such a great specimen!
Momma loves a street art photo op…
Bible Park and totally not posing or anything. Also, Arlo in the back.
Not even sure where she found these, somewhere on the playground, but such a funny girl.
Waiting for the local high school marching band to come down a street near our house for the Homecoming parade!
The high schoolers gave her extra loot.
Scootin’ on her new birthday scooter that Remy sort of claimed but lets her ride it sometimes. Special thank you to aunties and uncles who pitched in for it!
Walking to Einstein’s Bagel after a checkup for Arlo’s post surgery, and we stopped to shuffle in the leaves. Arlo looked up at all the golden leaves high above and exclaimed, “I go up there. I go up there.” She also looked inside a red balloon from Red Robin and said she wanted to “go in der” too…
Always catch these two snuggling up with books. This one was more posed, that sunset was just too good. But actual book “reading” going on.
Last week we visited Nick’s Garden Center in Aurora with our little neighbor friends for their pumpkin patch/fall festivities. We always love this one! We of course had to get tokens for the bouncy castles, and we did find a couple pumpkins, some fresh honey and huge, delicious Honey Crisp apples.
Last week we visited the local high school for a Halloween party the sophomore class was hosting to benefit St. Jude’s hospital. The girls had so much fun wandering the classrooms that were decorated. The student body did such fantastic job with separating the fun side from the “scarier” side, and they were all so courteous and helpful and sweet to the kiddos. We met up with a couple other park buddies and they seemed to have a good time too! Arlo was happy with a “ba-woon!”
And finally… a night out with the Mister. We went to Nocturne jazz club, somewhere I have been wanting to go for months now. And it did not disappoint! I LOVE JAZZ! Perks, it just so happened to be situated around the corner from the new Denver Central Market where husband and I totally over indulged before and AFTER the jazz! Such a fun night…
