Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

We are headed out of town for Christmas this year.  We will be setting up home base in a friend's apartment in Brooklyn and funny story, she is actually from here too and is coming here for her Christmas break!  House swap!  Well, she won't be staying at our place, but I thought it would be pretty special to leave her some Colorado grown gifts that are unique and special to her hometown.  She has the world of shopping at her disposal in NYC, I mean, who can compete with Bergdorfs and Barney's, even Bloomies, but something stamped with "CO" straight from the source just seems like the proper hostess gift.  These also happen to be some of my favorite items!
Novo coffee , from bean, to roasting on Larimer, to your grinder, to brew!  If you're in Denver, you might've already had a cup of their incredible beans at a number of local coffee shops, including their two new stand alones (1600 Glenarm and 6th & Gilpin) or restaurants.  This La Balmba Rosa Healing Rose Balm by R.L. Linden Beauty is small enough to carry in your handbag for a quick application.  Don't be guilty of chalky, dry hands!  The wax scented sachets by Rosy Rings were a random discovery I made this summer in the gift shop at the Denver Botanic Gardens!  Hang these sweet puppies up near your closet, in a bathroom or closet by your vanity for a little aroma therapy.  Pretty enough to keep posted up long after the scent fades in my opinion.  I am a sucker for the sultry, musky scents so this Honey Tobacco set was my first choice, although I have my nose on their Mediterranean Coast and Black Vetiver & Oak scents!
No hostess gift set is complete without a little something sweet, so a bar of gourmet chocolate was in order.  There is a ton of chocolate out there to choose from, but the other day I had the privilege to go downtown, to the source and pick out two bars stamped with their born on date in December, and see the naked bars being wrapped with my very own big, brown eyes.  Anna and Robbie of Ritual Chocolate are basically doing everything from cocoa bean, to shelling, to roasting, to mixing with clean, simple sugar and turning into pure chocolate right in this teeny tiny casa in LoDo!  Robbie's artist friend designed the illustration.  This bar is actually a special edition, when they teamed up with neighbors, and our friends, Novo Coffee.
So there you have it, the best, edited, selection of my top Denver made goodies for gifting this holiday.  You want to hear something even better?  You can win this gift set yourself, a value of $65, by heading over to the Haleeb & Honey Facebook page to find out how!
