Baby Style: Sweaters & Jeans
Baby style break! Happy Friday!
It's the weekend before Thanksgiving! Can you believe it?!
I snapped these photos last Thursday on our first outing with panties! Remy is in full potty training mode, for about two weeks now, and she is doing incredible! Momma is hanging in there too! Now if we could just get those number twos in the potty... We've had some casualty panties that had to be laid to rest in the garbage after some accidents. Everyone says that one takes awhile to "get," but tinkle, by golly I think she's got it!
After a four day hibernation period, we ventured out to Barnes and Noble and Jamba Juice and enjoyed the sun outside after some snow. We were dry panties and accident free while out and about, and she wasn't afraid to use the public potty! I was so impressed and proud of her. She's growing up! Bwhahaha... At night when I rock Remy I whisper, "Don't grow up too fast..." She whispers back, "I'm grooooowing!"
We are full of changes and growth around these parts in toddler land. Yesterday was her last day of pre-school. "But didn't you just enroll her in September?" Yes, but in the end we decided it wasn't worth the expense. It was a luxury for us, not a necessity and it became more work to wake up the two babies, feed, dress, and rush off to get there by 9 am. I have two babies who sleep until 8/8:30 some days. There were several other factors that contributed into our tough decision, but at this time, we feel Remy is best at home, learning with me. We loved the school, the instructors and the administrators, and even the other classmates and their families- the hardest part was saying goodbye to the lovely people we made relationships with. We took phone numbers of her friends' and hope to get together with them outside of class. Now we may wait a longer time, of at all to send her to pre-school. You really are their best teacher. Instead, we will use the funds we were spending on the pre-school and look into museum memberships, soccer and possibly some other classes and excursions.
Next up, transitioning from a crib to a day bed! Hoping to do that in December. Will keep you posted.
Baby style. I love babies in fuzzy sweaters and tiny jeans! Not more than I love seeing their bare chunky thighs in rompers in the summer, but still pretty darn cute to see tiny butts with pockets on them.
Arlo is wearing a thrifted CrewCuts sweater and Gap Kids denim, both hand me downs from Remy, and thrifted Saucony sneakers. Remy is wearing a thrifted Children's Place sweater, probably boys' department, Gap Kids denim, and Hunter boots.
