We are wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!! May you find peace and calm in the things that make this life so wonderful and cherish the time in each day to reflect on all things that are good, giving thanks to The Creator~ the reason for the season. Here's to trying new things in 2015, learning from old things past and putting our screens away every now and then to see the best things today!
Glo, Maz, Remy & Arlo
Speaking of screens... this year we decided to go digital! Saving some paper, some time and some dough (geesh stamps are pricey), and spreading the love and cheer of the season further, we skipped the classic 5X7 post card that could potentially get stuck in your weekly ads and tossed out and chose to seal our December 2014 with a few family photos that will live on in cyber space. Of course, we will print proper copies for the grandparents and frame for gifts later.
We had the very talented Daren Nkomo come over a couple Sundays ago to take some family photos of us in our home. We haven't had the opportunity to have anyone capture us as a family of four until now, three months in. Daren was quick and calm and managed to get several photos, great photos, of all of us together in a relaxing and natural way. After coaxing Remy to smile for the camera, which she didn't do too much of on this morning, we had pancakes and berries with Daren and watched the final MLS match together.
We did dress up, just a little. I tried to keep the "styling" to a minimum and put us all in things we would wear on a typical day, but a little more polished and colorful. Remy is wearing these incredible, silky-soft leggings by Hello Sparrow and I paired it with a top by Giggle for JC Penney. These leggings are seriously SO buttery and the price is fantastic. I love the blue on these and they fit her so well!
