She is here! Arlo! She came the morning of September 10, one day after her projected "due date," in all of her pinky-skin goodness, and light brown fuzzy hair, with a furrowed brow and a fussy cry that sounds like a kitty cat. She is a little doll all day long, but come by my place from midnight to 4 am and you'll hear that mousy cry I am talking about every time momma and baba want to shut their peepers.
I'll spare you all of the "birth story" details and just say, she came around 7:55 am at a healthy 7.8 lbs. and 20 inches. One ounce smaller and one inch shorter than her big sis, but full of personality! Yawning through her first bath and crying through her newborn photos, she is very much her own unique spirit. We are still figuring out who she looks like, but are seeing the eyes of my brother's daughter Jade and a lot of my mother in law's family.
I am very blessed to now have two healthy, beautiful daughters. I could not ask for anything right now, except a little shut eye I guess. baba and I have discovered our new caffeine drink of choice is an Americano., so if you're popping by... We had these in Spain because they couldn't seem to understand our order of "drip coffees" but we decided to give them a whirl again due to the red-eye shifts we've been pulling lately.
We are headed to her two week newborn appointment now, me in my bun, stretchy pants and Toms, and my girls. My girls, with an "s!" I may be a yoga pant convert yet with two babies under two! A trip to lululemon and Athleta may be on the immediate horizon...
There is sure to be more pics of the newest little honey around these parts.
