Lakeside Amusement Park Denver #lakeside #bestside
Last weekend we found husband home.. shockingly! His soccer coaching has him pretty tied up most weekends, so I was pretty tickled when he was up for a visit to a place that is fast becoming one of our family favorites, two years running now, Lakeside Amusement Park. A piece of Denver history right there folks, and incredible for family memory making. We had a BLAST! Last year when we went, see the post here, Arlo wasn't even walking so we strolled her around and watched Remy ride the rides. Now that Remy is taller, and Arlo isn't far behind, they were BOTH able to ride quite a few things, including the mini roller coaster! A.Dorable! I LOVE how Remy was such a caring and protective Big Sis, holding Arlo's little arms down there! Remy was even tall enough to ride the Ferris Wheel this year with Baba! She was pretty proud!
Arlo was bummed she had to sit that one out, and when she and I waited on the side and saw some contraption moving upside down in a hammer-like motion, Arlo exclaimed, "I go on DAT!" Ummmm.... No! She might just be our dare devil.
We took a little pause for Twist ice cream cones, of which they had two licks each because they were too interested in going on the carousel next! We decided to skip the train around the lake, although that is BEAUTIFUL, especially at sunset, it's five tickets each person and we would have had to wait so we decided to keep the fun rolling and circle back to Kiddy Land. The girls were literally crying when we had to leave, which made for tricky momma handling and distraction, but we had fun driving home in the dark and seeing the lights.
Chalking it up as another AWESOME time at Lakeside with my people.
