Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

Mini Adventure: Cherry Creek Farmer's Market

Mini Adventure: Cherry Creek Farmer's Market

Grab a basket and check out the farmer's market in the parking lot at Bed, Bath & Beyond in Cherry Creek this Saturday! Um, don't forget your water bottle, hat and sunscreen- whew!  WHY is it that whenever I go to the farmer's market it is blazing hot out?!  Not too good for babies, so my trips are very in and out.  I like this market because it's close, there's plenty of easily accessible parking to get to and from the car with littles, and it's not huge.  I start at the south end and work my way towards 1st Ave. and end at Milk Money ice cream!  At least that's what I've done the last two weeks in a row now!

Last week I stumbled upon it by accident.  I mean, I knew it was there, but I was actually looking for pillows at Cost Plus, which moved to Colorado Blvd., which I also had known at one point, but when you are in a mom haze, you seem to forget EVERYTHING!  Anyway, last week I was with just Arlo so we checked it out and had a fun time!  This week, we had an appointment Wednesday morning, and I had both girls, so we decided to check it out together again.

The hits- peaches, of course, and ice cream- HELLO!  I really love Milk Money!  For $3 get a little single serve or get a whole pint for $6.  New flavors every week!  Last week I tried the Lemon Bar... yum!  This week we tried the Malted Chocolate and the Cherry Pie, which had bits of pie from Humble Pie in it!  Both delicious!  Next time, I want to get one of those mini Humble Pies!  This particular market is Wednesday and Saturday mornings.  Some of the vendors circle around to other farmer's markets, for example the one at Stapleton.  I have been meaning to check out the one at Lowry, and I have also heard about one on South Pearl Street and one in the Highlands.

It was fun to bring Remy and see her check out the veggies and fruits and see what she gravitated to.  She shocked me when we were looking at a table and she said, "Beets!"  Made momma proud...She even grabbed a piece of bib lettuce and popped it in her mouth and asked me to try some!  She really impressed me with how much she knew about her produce!  A fun sensory place for kids in my opinion.  Wednesday mornings are probably less crowded for exploration with a toddler than Saturdays.

Have you been to any this summer?  What/who are your favorite vendors?

P.S. Remy's sneakers.  HOW ADORABLE are these?!  I LOVE love See Kai Run shoes for her!  They fit so well, easy to put on, rounded toes so less tripping, VELCRO straps, I have just been so impressed with them.  We really really fell for their sandals and now we are turned onto their sneakers!

Remy is wearing NEW sneakers c/o See Kai Run... LOVE THESE- THANK YOU!  Her romper is Gap, thrifted.  Arlo's little romper is also thrifted, vintage, and says, "Little Chief" on it- LOVE!
