Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

NYDJ: New Closet Fave

NYDJ: New Closet Fave

Who is out there shopping around still?!

I am actually RESTING!  Feetsies up, on the couch, watching Sata Claus 3, (there's a THREE?!) and relaxing before prepping lasagna dinner for my family tonight.

BUT, this time last week I was out at the Outlets at Castle Rock shopping SOLO and I did an entire fit guide of the denim at NYDJ.   A lot of it was on my Instagram Stories if you caught it.

I had heard about NYDJ, what I knew as "Not Your Daughter's Jeans," from working at Nordstrom about a decade ago.  They weren't sold in my department but many times, we were running across the store to grab these jeans for people.  The fit is just TOO. GOOD.  The rise is actually a mid-rise.  This was WAY before the rise, pun intended, of the high rise jeans you see all over today, or the "mom fit."  These are NOT a "mom fit," however, but just a darn good pair of denim that hits you naturally at your waist.  I did the kneel-down-test, to be sure no bootie poked out the top, and they passed.  SUPER comfortable, they feel like you are wearing your sweatpants out.  I am NOT KIDDING.

I honestly had the toughest time deciding on just ONE pair.  I figured since Christmas was a week away, I would have to leave the others behind.  I definitely have a couple other pairs on my wish list.  I went with a super dark blue skinny, a little more polished and universal for what my lifestyle calls for right now.  I would love to get the blackish/gray pair, SO SOFT, and maybe the pair with a fringed hem at ankle.  They sell boot cut and straight leg styles as well, I just seem to be still in the skinny denim phase.  They also have more of a legging pant as well, not denim, but super great fit and would be awesome with longer sweaters or tunics this winter.  ALSO, had no idea they branched out of denim into clothing!  The tops and sweaters are really really nice too.

I was impressed with the fit, and so excited to wear them!  Basically they are at the top of the stack in my closet and haven't left as they are basically on heavy rotation.  And it's only been a week!

NYDJ is located at the Outlets of Castle Rock, in the 1st Avenue street of shops right when you enter.  There is a bit of construction so you need to follow signage, but that little strip has some of the BEST shops in it!  I started off shopping on that end this time and that's when I ran into NYDJ!  Anne Taylor, Buff City Soap, and Columbia are also on the same street.

The Outlets are open today until 9 pm, and tomorrow, Christmas Eve, the shops are open until 6 pm!  If you need an awesome pair of denim for parties, entertaining, present-opening, errand-running, or New Year's Eve, check them out if you find yourself there.  Promise you...

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve everyone!  So excited for Christmas this year with the girls and feeling super on top of it... how the heck I have time to blog on a day like today must mean I have some sort of organization... haha!

All the merriest!

P.S. and BEST part... EVERYTHING in store is HALF OFF through January 15th!!!  I know...I know...Also a HUGE thank you to MJ for helping me try these on and sharing the NYDJ love with me!  Similar here
