Pancakes in Costume
A couple weeks ago we had a hankering for pancakes, but mama had a little something more in mind...Snooze AM Eatery pancakes! I knew they would be special and different, a true treat for my sweets! And I didn't stop at the flap jacks, I let them wear their new Halloween costumes! This was a BIG deal. This mama has a strict, no-princess-dress-outside rule. Just my thing. Maybe I'll regret it someday, probably not. They have plenty of decision power and pull over me besides.
We just scored several costumes at the Arc thrift store that weekend and snagged a few Disney princess dress costumes which go for lots but we found near-new for $6! We even found a few vintage Halloween costumes, like the Alice in Wonderland one Remy is wearing below. We had the tights and we found the ballet slippers there as well.
So we got costumed up and hit up Snooze! We had the pineapple upside down pancakes and the pancake of the day, forget what it was now, but I remember it had candied fruit and nuts and a cinnamon style butter and peanut butter ganache or something inside and it was phenomenal!
Do you all have your Halloween costumes ready? We seem to always do several festive things, trick-or-treat streets and little things leading up to Halloween, so it's fun to have a couple for them to choose from, and the thrift store is a great place to look!
I did find this Alice in Wonderland costume online.
