Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

Santa Sighting at Outlets at Castle Rock

Santa Sighting at Outlets at Castle Rock

I am LOVING this new season of toddlerhood where they are in bed by SEVEN!  I shouldn't probably even publish that... but nevertheless it has been happening consistently now for weeks since naps are gonzo.  Now, my ME-time starts earlier!  Woop!  Hope for those of you in the newborn/early years, sleeplessness season.

So all this extra time to myself lately has me in a planning mood for the upcoming holiday season.  I always THINK I am a planner, but when it comes down to it I am usually too little, too late.  I have noticed though, this go-with-the-flow-oh-no-now-what part of me ends up making fun and having a ball anyway.  Sometimes they say, "Life happens when you are busy planning."

This time though, this time, I am planning, three days in advance anyway, haha, to take the girls to see Santa touch down in Castle Rock this Saturday!  The Outlets at Castle Rock are so fortunate to also have his nine reindeer on site as well!  Rumor has it that these are his most fit set of deer seeing as they are waiting out the season until the big night in this mile high, thin air!

Santa Claus is getting a warm welcome at Outlets at Castle Rock this Saturday, November 18, 2017, bright and early, 8:30 am, with a pancake breakfast in the food court.  Just a fiver guys, that's $5! Funds benefit the Special Olympics of Colorado.  He will be available for greetings and photos during that time.  Then he'll check out his post outside.  I can't wait to see this HUGE tree that they put up last weekend too!  Who am I kidding.  I can't wait for the girls to see it!

There's also a Run Run Rudolph scavenger hunt happening on the property through the holiday season.  Santa Claus will be kicking that off after panny-cakes.  BUT, if you come later, or even on another day, just head over to customer service, a kiosk in the food court, ask for the Run Run Rudolph scavenger hunt game and have at it!  You take the map around and place stickers, representing the famous fleet of nine that pull Santa's sleigh, and place them correctly at their posts on the map.  Bring that back to customer service and receive a treat from Cinnabon.

Hoping to do a bit of Christmas shopping.  Here goes that planning mood I am in.  I have a few ideas for the girls, and a LOT of nieces, a couple nephews....oh and a HUSBAND.  What in the heck do YOU guys get your hubbies out there?!  SO. HARD.  The shopping I mean.. Eek... Haha!

ANYWAY!  I hope yo see some of you guys there Saturday!  I'll have the girls with me so I'll have to be sneaky if I find them anything...Shhh...And husband is coaching so because he won't be there you know I'll struggle and find nothing.

Now to PLAN the perfect Santa-spotting-style...

Here is a fun look back at visits to Santa Claus from years' past... ohhhh....holidays with babies!Santa pics here and here!

Check out THES guys!  I guess they have been designed exclusively for Outlets at Castle Rock. "Each reindeer is programmed to have individual movements and the herd was built using the same control systems as the animatronics displays at Disneyland. Special effects will include moving their heads to look around at shoppers and shaking their necks draped with hand tuned sleigh bells that emit a perfect Christmas jingle."
