Scootin' Around LoDo Denver
One of those days when I knew it was a bad idea but we continued driving downtown anyway.
We had initially had a plan to go downtown on the prowl for pumpkins and have ice cream. It was not well thought out and we had a long, leisurely morning so by the time we got downtown it was noon. We had forty minutes on a meter, and we almost nearly made it back before the parking meter police, but no luck. I got a parking ticket for the first time in YEARS. Boo is right!
We wore our Halloween sweaters but tutus and bare legs on the bottom. A quick ice cream stop at Milk Box was the perfect cool off. Classic milk chocolate for R, so creamy, and Purple Cow for L, and Apple Pie for momma! Love their ice cream... so rich and creamy...
We found a few pumpkins at Bloom inside Union Station, andup on top of their columns inside. We won't be able to make their annual Boonionstation Halloween festivities, but the last couple years it was pretty sweet.
Unlike the hoards of people who have made it to every pumpkin patch and fall festival over the weekend, we surprisingly stayed in this past weekend. I had a baby shower Saturday and Sunday I took the girls on a late afternoon bike ride around the neighborhood to sightsee the Halloween decorations.
We are all wearing thrifted sweaters, mine and Remy's are vintage.
