Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

Snow Day Sunday

Snow Day Sunday

Otherwise known as THE day of what we experienced to be a slight level of cabin fever.

AFTER we came inside from playing in said FRESH pow, one tot decided to get into sparkly purple glitter nail polish and dress up her own phalanges, and BOTH tots headed to their play room for a "snow" themed tea party wherein they shredded a styrofoam insert from a box they found into tiny Schnipsels of faux pow pow ALL over.  Let's just say it required a vacuum to the head to get that stuff out of their manes.  Sigh...I could see the humor, AND the effort they put into really re-creating that snow scene they witnessed outside AFTER husband sucked it all up.

But the snow!  FINALLY we had REAL  snow we could actually romp around in!  We went out in the afternoon, just to watch Baba shovel the drive and walkways.  It turned into a longer session than anticipated.  We did NOT have proper glovies guys!  I can't seem to find/keep the waterproof ones on these two!  Any ideas!  My sister in law did tell us about a pair at Costco and husband found ONE LAST pair tiny enough for their fingers today.  We need another!  After all this thrifting you would think I would have a dozen pairs, but NOPE!  Where area ll the tiny snow gloves at?!  Anyway, Arlo had a little knit pair on and I plopped on a long ladylike knit pair from my own box of knitwear for Rem.  They "worked" for awhile, but obviously they got soaked.  Can't tell from the glee beaming across the faces on these girls!

We have snow pants hanging up in the garage too, again, they didn't want to wear them, we were just trying out our new snow boots YEAH!  We took out a couple plastic dishes to scoop snow so they wouldn't have to use their hands.  The neighbor kiddos were out shoveling with their momma too and they found a bucket and a plastic cup and were making snow cones!  We should just have some syrup flavors in the garage to make snow cones next time!

Until the next snow fall...

...Glo

Wearing: Remy is wearing a thrifted rainbow knit hat- LOVE! Similar, only $300... GASP! or this one for $9...whew.  She has a faux fur vest from Target, (similar) and a sweatshirt from Civiliants, leggings from Target, and Puma snow boots.  Love these snow boots by Stride Rite or these ones from Adidas- both similar as in they have a sneaker shoe.  ARlo is wearing a thrifted knit hat, a fleece poncho from Old Navy (only $8 right now!) and a Mini Rodini dress and Puma snow boots, similar linked above.  Their scarves are from China town in NYC.  Husband and I bought them a couple years ago.
