Glad you found us!

I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

Songs for Seeds for Summer

Songs for Seeds for Summer

This week marked the final session of our spring classes at Songs for Seeds Denver.  It also marked the first time, I very NEARLY had perfect attendance.  We sadly had to miss the last class and closing celebration this week, major bummer.  Is it us or has summer got everyone in slow motion?!  It seems that by the time I get these two fed and dressed, minus the shoes which they take off anyway so now we just toss them in the car, it is 11 am and they are hungry for lunch! Needless to say, we would have been late, VERY late, so we will have to try and see our bandmates again soon, another time.  Songs for Seeds Denver was a great experience overall for my girls and the 11 am class we had was a perfect time, see above, for us to make it, get our energy out and bop along to beats and make it home int time for lunch and naps.  As with anything in child rearing, there are many stages and phases that occur in development.  Nap times change, your child's interests change, but I have to say that Songs for Seeds came to us at the perfect time for BOTH of my girls.  They loved it!

My kiddos always looked forward to Songs for Seeds and made real connections with Kyle, Ilana and David.  We found that it was a great outing for siblings, as I mentioned before, and works for multiple age ranges too.  There were several friend groups in our class that came together and their mothers seemed to have a great time catching up on their previous weeks while their tots wiggled out to the music.  So, sign up with your best momma friends, and make it a "thing!"

Songs for Seeds is a great option for summer for those of you melting in this heat.  Spalsh pads are fun, but sometimes tiny baby feet take a beating on hot pavement, and let's face it, the whole swim-diaper-sunscreen-wet- clothes-dry- clothes-thing can get a little cumbersome.  If YOU are looking for something to do where you can chill out in the shade while your babe is engaged and entertained, think of signing up for the summer sesh! (July 11th-August 26th)  You can register via e-mailing Shannon at shannon@songsforseeds.com or giving a ring, 720.696.1774.

Here are a few snaps I took throughout our session over the course of several weeks on my i-phone.  I'll cherish the little videos I have too.  A BIG hug and THANK YOU to Shannon for allowing us to participate and share our experiences with you all!
