I don't ski, I don't drink craft beer and I don't have a dog, but by golly I am a real Colorado native girl.  So now you can still believe in unicorns!  Here's my ode to motherhood, you know because all of us bloggers write like we were the first, only and last mama out there.

Hello, hello! So, I USED to pen a fashion blog called Fashion Folio, and then I launched this guy a year ago because I noticed my interests and priorities had shifted more towards baby and family and I had less time for fashion events and news. These stacks of unread subscriptions over here are proof. I have been missing my little fashion outlet quite a bit and want to incorporate more style posts into this blog.

I am making a disclaimer here: I am NO model. I am no pro "fashion blogger." I have ZERO wardrobe budget as I am a full time homemaker, so you won't see me rocking designer. I HATE taking pics of myself. BUT, I DO love to dress up and I DO love to follow fashion, so what the hell...

Today I had my "6 Week" postpartum doctor appointment. For those who have followed along, yup, it will actually be 12 weeks on December 10th since I had my second babe. Today I learned that at my last weigh-in before giving birth, about a week before, I was up to 188 lbs. I weighed in at 166 today, so, not too shabby, but I have a feeling these last 10-15 lbs., to get to my pre-baby weight, could be a sticky, stubborn situation. Since there is no way I am giving up desserts or joining this "Whole 30" trend or "Paleo" tribe anytime soon, good ole fashion working out, smaller portions and less dessert is now in order. I don't believe in diets. They are short lived, trendy and you can't live a lifetime on a diet- in my humble, some might think overweight, opinion.

After I had Remy in May, it was summer so I was able to walk, a LOT, and I did a 6 week fitness camp on Saturday mornings at a park, and then I did a few weeks of pilates, once a week. I got down to my pre-baby weight that time, not sure how long it took as I don't own a scale and only weighed myself at the first doctor appointment in January of this year when I got pregnant again. This time, I have a feeling it is coming off a little slower, so I am ramping up the activity. Not that running up and down two flights of stairs at home all day long with two babies isn't enough already...

Oh yeah, this was supposed to be a "style" post. See? I am so bad at being a fashion blogger...

Here's my attempt at staying relevant and somewhat stylish! Haha! I'm wearing... a dress I got from Buffalo Exchange a million years ago, black leggings, a thrifted hat, and new boots! Husband treated me to a new pair of fall kicks! LOVE these ankle boots with a mod, stack heel by Via Spiga, found at TJ Maxx just before Halloween.

So what do you guys think of adding style posts into the mix?
