Style: Oversize Vintage Coat
I was in the process of creating more storage on my computer by going through old photos when I ran across these! Me and my girl in wool winter coats! Remy and I bundled up in twinning coats, black skinnies and sneaks and snapped some photos in front of our neighbor's garage last January! Hard to believe it's been almost ONE YEAR already and January 2016 will be here by the end of the week!!!! WHAT?!
Look at her tiny legs! The changes from a one year old to a two year old are just INSANE... more than newborn to one if you ask me...Those sneakers were way huge on her, and now they fit, and so was the coat, but now she refuses to wear it, so I'm glad I got her in it back then a couple of times. I am sure this was during Arlo's nap. The happiness on our faces from getting a little fresh air says it all. I am fairly certain I did NOT do my hair, and who knows what I am wearing underneath as a top. I was inspired to snap some pics, and now looking back, these encapsulate the brief alone time time I spent with my Remy on a winter afternoon more than a documentation of what we were wearing. Funny how that happens when you go through old photos.
Speaking of OLD photos...I got a brand spaknin' NEW camera for Christmas from my adoring, overly generous, super loving husband! Hopefully my photos and skills behind the lens will improve in 2016, and I am really inspired to learn how to take short videos with it too! SOOOOO excited and thrilled.... and most of all THANKFUL!!! For these babies, for these days I get to be home in the middle of winter to snap silly pics in front of garage doors with my girls, for a husband who works so hard and takes care of us so we can all cherish these early years as a strong family unit.
Here's a few pics from the archives! As for the coat, I haven't pulled this one out yet this year, but these 4 degree temps should have me moving it to the coat closet downstairs! Remy's coat was a Zara purchase...(she refuses to wear it now and only wants to wear a neon pink one from Carter's- GASP!)
Hope you all had wonderful Christmas holidays!
