Tree Shopping at Nick's Garden Center
Last week the girls and I went over to Nick's Garden Center to look at trees. We are thinking of planting a couple fast growing trees, natural privacy barriers, along our back yard fence. Any ideas guys? The professional at the nursery suggested Serviceberry bushes for their fast growth and privacy factor but to be honest, they didn't really have a "wow" factor. When you spend money on plants, you kind of want a leave that turns color or a blossom or something! Would love to hear other thoughts.
The girls were super tired this day and not so into greenery shopping. I decided we should do a little pick-me-up popsicle. We had our pops by a water fountain and sat and took a little break. Then momma was ready to pick out a few planter flowers for the front and while I was picking out some snap dragons, Arlo found a muddy puddle and Remy took her shoes off and was running around the greenhouse. They were both dirty and soaked by the time we left, but happy.
I have been dealing with major tantrums, fighting, a needy, clingy teething baby, a difficult, determined nearly three year old... these last few weeks have been taxing and tiring. Not going to sugar coat it. Sure, sure, cute, cute... these days are the best, enjoy them while I can, blah blah blah.... I am sick of yelling at my kiddos and tired of breaking up spats and so, SO OVER, the not getting dressed, not eating, just fighting me at every request. I hear THREE is the worst..and we are about to embark on that chapter in a few weeks. I would love to hear any ideas or suggestions on handling a strong willed, energetic and, let's face it, difficult toddler.
Here's a few photos from the garden center. Still need to get those trees or shrubs too of you have any suggestions there!
